Reykholt was the home of Snorri Sturluson, a 13th century Icelandic poet, author, diplomat, politician, and chieftain. Today, Reykholt is home to a magnificent new building which houses the church, a museum, and a medieval research institute. The photo shows the old 19th century church at Reykholt, which has just been fully restored.
