The pond in the center of Reykjavík is a jewel, and no collection of Iceland travel photos would be complete without one photo taken at the pond.

The pond teems with bird life, and I get the sense that at any hour of the day and night, about half the population of Reykjavík is at the pond feeding the ducks. The mountain Esja, across the fjord from Reykjavík, is visible behind the buildings.
