Sandkluftavatn is a small lake along the road that leaves Þingvellir and leads up to Kaldadalur in the highlands.

I would have a hard time counting up the number of times I have traveled past this lake on previous trips without noticing it. On this visit, the sun must have been hitting the water just right, because the lake was striking. I walked down to the water's edge to shoot this photograph.
