Háifoss is a magnificent waterfall located in the highlands above the Ţjórsá river. It's about 400ft (122m) high. Other powerful waterfalls I've visited sound like a powerful engine, churning away. Háifoss sounds as if the very fabric of the earth was being torn apart. The sun caught the mist from the falls just right to create the beautiful rainbows. I ended up making three separate visits to the falls on this trip in order to catch the sun just right.
