This Herðubreið is not the more well known mountain of the same name in the north. This is a small hill located above the Ófærufoss waterfalls.

I had stopped the car alongside the road at the height of land to shoot some photographs across the interior back towards the ocean. It wasn't until I turned to look to the side that I saw this hill, with the sweeping slopes and beautiful sky.
