Dyrfjöll is a spectacular group of mountains standing above Borgarfjörður eystri.

This visit was unusual in that I could actually see the mountains. In my previous visits, they were always shrouded in fog and clouds.

This photo was taken at the height of land just before the road drops down to the fjord and then around to the valley on the other side of the mountains. By the time I reached the valley on the other side, the clouds had once again descended on the mountains.
