Reykir is an abandoned farm at the far end of Reykjaströnd on the coast of Skagafjörður.

The saga says that Grettir the Strong swam from his island Drangey across the cold fjord to the farm at Reykir. To warm himself, he took a bath in the hot springs bath on the farm.

This photo was taken while standing next to the Grettir's bath, Grettislaug, and shows the view enjoyed by bathers. There are few experiences more relaxing than bathing in one of Iceland's hot springs baths.
